So I follow a vegan/healthy living blog called “Oh She Glows” (I’m sure youre all surprised..anyone…? Of course not)I’m no vegan but with all my dietary restrictions abd digestive issues it’s a great place to find recipes for me that dont just say, “put vegetables into bowl and consume.” Anyhow, she has been RAVING about these “sour cream” and onion kale chips she had at a vegan/raw restaurant recently, so when she put the recipe on her blog I was excited to try making some and as I read the ingredients for the “sour cream” two words came to mind “yeah right.” it’s griffin on a sunday, where in the world would I find nutritional yeast? I wouldn’t. So I peeked into the fridge to scope out the fixins and made my own. THEY ARE AMAZING! Kale is crazy cheap and really nutritious num-nums so you should try this recipe, and you can!
(adjust the measurements depending on the amount of kale)
1 bunch of fresh kale, cleaned and chopped
1 Tbs tamari soy sauce
Garlic powder to taste
1/4 tsp asian chili paste(optional)
Preheat oven to 200°. Line baking sheet with aluminum foil. Toss kale in toppings then bake for 1 hour, stir kale around, bake for additional hour.
Its SO worth it.
